They guide the customer through intake, oversee the evaluation workflow, verify accuracy, prepare and negotiate offers within company parameters, and ensure transactions are properly documented and completed. This role focuses on customer service, organization, quality control, negotiation, and workflow management, not manual card-by-card pricing.

  • Greet and onboard selling customers.

  • Explain the buying process and set expectations.

  • Ensure all required forms and customer information are completed.

  • Maintain professional communication throughout the transaction.

Collection Pre‑Screening

  • Coordinate handoffs to Data Auditors.

  • Follow up on stalled evaluations.

Quality Control
  • Review completed evaluations for accuracy.

  • Verify card identity, version, quantity, condition, and pricing.

  • Identify missing, duplicated, or incorrect entries.

  • Escalate questionable evaluations.

Market Research & Offer Preparation
  • Conduct additional research on higher‑value or unusual items.

  • Prepare offers within approved acquisition ranges.

  • Consider liquidity, demand, inventory needs, and market conditions.

Negotiation & Customer Communication
  • Present offers confidently.

  • Handle objections professionally.

  • Re-evaluate items when appropriate.

  • Know when to escalate, hold firm, or decline acquisitions.

Administrative Accuracy
  • Maintain clean documentation and tracking sheets.

  • Record customer info, notes, offers, and transaction status.

  • Ensure digital and physical records match.

Transaction Completion
  • Process payouts correctly (cash, store credit, etc.).

  • Provide required receipts and documentation.

  • Close out acquisitions in all systems.

Risk Management & Escalation
  • Escalate high-value, suspicious, unusual, or complex transactions.

  • Follow counterfeit and conflict-of-interest procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Basic numerical confidence and spreadsheet proficiency

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Comfort discussing money and negotiating

  • Critical thinking and willingness to learn trading card markets

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with trading card games or collectibles

  • Prior retail, customer service, or negotiation experience

  • Familiarity with Google Sheets or similar tools

  • Ability to identify card conditions or spot discrepancies

What Success Looks Like:

  • Accurate intake and documentation for every acquisition

  • Clear visibility over all active collections

  • Strong quality control — errors caught before customer presentation

  • Timely follow-up and efficient workflow management

  • Professional, confident negotiation that protects margins

  • Proper escalation of exceptions or high-risk situations

  • Clean, complete transaction closeouts

  • Customers feel guided, informed, and taken care of

What We Offer:
  • Structured training and certification program

  • Hands-on experience with trading card markets and collectibles

  • A professional, supportive team environment

  • Opportunities to develop negotiation, market analysis, and workflow management skills

Compensation & Benefits:
