The Blood Collection Driver is responsible for transporting supplies, equipment, blood products, and staff to mobile blood collection sites. The role includes assisting with setup and teardown of equipment, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance during blood collection. Responsibilities Drive blood collection vehicles to transport required supplies, equipment, blood products and staff to and from mobile sites Load and unload trucks and other vehicles Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming back again and again Be detailed oriented all day, every day to ensure that the blood collected meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused Work with the team to setup and tear down equipment at the donation sites Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is required Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles Basic computer skills are required Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) is preferred Prior leadership experience is preferred Skills Customer Service Verbal Communication Valid Driver's License Safe Vehicle Operation Physical Strength Manual Dexterity Microsoft Office Suite Basic Computer Knowledge Healthcare Experience Phlebotomy Knowledge Equipment Setup Regulatory Compliance Blood Collection Assistance Languages English #J-18808-Ljbffr
